He's a man full of conviction and desire.
His words are measured...well, at least during this interview, they were. He poses when in deep thought and shoots back when ready to. A man whose calm voice gives a deceptive mien of his bulging physic.
To the Kenya Professional Boxing Commission president Reuben Ndolo, planning and execution has always been the difference between glory and ignominy.
Planning is at the heartbeat of every successful venture. It is this astute planning that saw him bag the coveted post of Commonwealth Boxing Council president. Think. Plan. Execute.
Ndolo, who is a former boxer and also the Kenya Professional Boxing Commission (KPBC) boss, floored his opponents from Canada and Australia to bag the CBC throne.

After being proposed by Briton Simon Block (former Commonwealth Secretary General), Ndolo garnered 34 of the 56 votes by affiliate members in the first round of voting.
In the second and decisive round done by 12 directors, Ndolo got seven votes, his Canadian opponent had three, while the Australian got two.
Directors are positions held by former federation presidents. Among the current 12, only two are from Africa.
"I am delighted to have bagged this post. It was not an easy exercise, but since other directors and members believed in me, I got their nod," said Ndolo in a telephone interview yesterday.
"This is a great milestone to Kenyan boxing. From next year, you'll begin seeing great changes and success stories in the ring."
According to Ndolo, the Commonwealth Boxing Council, which has been responsible for the regulation and sanctioning of Commonwealth Championships in professional boxing, has picked Mombasa as one of the venues where they plan to set up boxing homes and erect gymnasiums.
"CBC has big plans for Kenya. Next year, there will be 72 fights, which will be sanctioned by the council. This is no mean feat. It's a great opportunity for our boxers," said Ndolo.
“The world of boxing will now come to Kenya and Africa."
Under his spell at the helm of CBC from 2000 to 2002, Ndolo gave Africa a great opportunity to showcase its boxing prowess to the world.
Meanwhile, the fourth and penultimate leg of the National Boxing League heads to Nanyuki this afternoon with the fight for the title getting hotter between two teams.
The two protagonists are league champions Kenya Defence Forces and record Kenyan champions Kenya Police, who are locked in a tight race that should be decided this weekend after the league championships.
The three-day event ends on Saturday. Both teams (KDF and Kenya Police) have an array of experienced boxers who could turn tables on each other in different weight capacities in the fight for top honours.
Africa Boxing Championships light middleweight gold medallist Boniface Mogunde is in the right shape after winning a gold medal at the recent Africa Zone Three Championships, where Kenya finished second to defending champions and eventual winners Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
Mogunde, who boxes for Kenya Police, said he’s in the right shape for the battle as the race for title hots up between them and KDF.
“We are ready for the league championships. It’s tough, but we are equal to the task in snatching back the title we lost last year,” Mogunde told Standard Sports.
The policemen lead the table standings with 57 points, ahead of KDF’s 44 points.
Nairobi County Boxing County has 30, Nakuru County 17 and Nakuru Amateur Boxing Club 16 points.
